“ Late night ramen on the south side? Yes! Shinya is a cool small cozy place nested on Halsted. I've eaten here a handful of times and leave full and happy every time. Ramen is good no matter which one you order. Grilled calamari is ok, not my favorite. The oysters were good. And the gyu don rice is amazing. The ribeye beef skewers are good as well. Drinks were tasty. You walk in and see just to be seated. Then you order everything from your phone and will be delivered accordingly. ”
“ Came here to celebrate my roommate's birthday. The food came out fast! I'm not a huge ramen person so I ordered the fried rice. The service was great and the ambiance went above and beyond! ”
“ This spot is a great late-night option with a very cute interior and affordable prices. We tried a variety of small plates, including tofu, eggplant, potato croquettes, and crab rangoons, and appreciated the many vegetarian and vegan options available. I also had the tofu miso ramen. While the food was fresh and felt much healthier than typical late-night fare, most dishes lacked seasoning and ended up tasting a bit bland. I think fixing that could take this place to a whole new level! ”
“ This is the place you go to after a night out. It's great that the place opens late, and we were able to get a seat, but I'd recommend booking ahead if you're going on the weekend, as it does fill up. The inside is nicely decorated, and the food is standard. The ramen wasn't too salty, and there were plenty of options. ”
“ Shinya ramen house in Bridgeport is located nicely on Halsted. They had a large menu which was great because we got to choose from so many things! All the ordering was done on the phone, this helped make the food come out super quickly! We were super impressed with their service. They had awesome decor in the restaurant too! We love the Don bowls and beef skewers from the grills. The ramen was good too. ”
“ I wanted something to eat late night. I think they opened past midnight. This was one of my favorite food places in Chicago. There's wasn't many memorable food places but this one was 100/10. The service was nice from the apps to the ramen we were very pleased. It gave mom and pop vibes . TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTF3EGQeb/ ”
“ Let's talk about this little gem in the heart of Bridgeport Chicago! Hubby orders there ramen faithfully! However we came in and presented so much more! The bulgogi rice was so good and well flavored. The egg on top of the bulgogi rice was perfect. We also had the sausages (mini hotdogs) , gyoza , hubby also had garlic pork ramen & I had the chicken curry! It was so good. The chicken Karage was also bomb bomb bomb; definitely use the aioli that comes with it. Overall from the anime ambiance, the food, the mango smoothies and the pina colada 20/10 !
